Yunnan Qizi Bing Tea is a special type of Pu-erh tea, categorized as a "cake tea." The name "Qizi" refers to the fact that each cake is typically made up of seven smaller tea cakes, arranged to form a round shape. Traditionally, these cakes are used for aging and collection.

The primary production areas of Qizi Bing Tea include Menghai, Yiwu, and Mengku, with teas from these regions being particularly well-known.

After a long fermentation process, ripe Pu-erh tea releases unique flavors such as aged aroma, date, and woody notes. The taste is typically smoother and richer, with a deep red or dark brown liquor. It has a mild flavor with a strong, sweet fragrance.

Actual colors of the tea may vary somewhat from pictured. Purchase the smallest amount to try before purchasing larger amounts.

Effects and functions of drinking Pu-erh tea

1. Aid digestion and relieve greasiness
Pu-erh tea contains rich tea polyphenols and caffeine, which can stimulate gastric juice secretion and help digestion. In addition, its degreasing properties make it an ideal tea to pair with greasy food, helping to relieve stomach discomfort.

2. Assist in reducing fat and losing weight
The active ingredients in Pu-erh tea can promote fat metabolism. Long-term drinking has a certain effect on lowering cholesterol and triglycerides in the body, so it is favored by many people who want to lose weight.

3. Assist in lowering blood sugar and blood lipids
The tea polysaccharides and fermentation products in Pu-erh tea have a certain effect on regulating blood sugar and lowering blood lipids. It is especially suitable for diabetic patients and people with high blood lipids to drink in moderation.

4. Assist in anti-oxidation and anti-aging
Pu-erh tea contains rich antioxidants, such as tea polyphenols, vitamin C, etc., which can effectively remove free radicals, delay aging, and improve immunity.

5. Assist in antibacterial and anti-inflammatory
The fermentation process of Pu-erh tea produces a large number of beneficial microorganisms. These substances have a certain inhibitory effect on gastrointestinal bacteria, which helps to improve gastrointestinal health and relieve mild inflammation.

6. Helps refresh the mind
The caffeine in Pu-erh tea can stimulate the central nervous system, help improve concentration and relieve fatigue, but the stimulation to the nerves is relatively mild and is not likely to cause palpitations.

7. Helps maintain health and nourish the stomach
Fermented Pu-erh tea is warm in nature, less irritating, and does not hurt the stomach. Moderate drinking has a protective effect on the stomach, especially ripe Pu-erh, which is more suitable for people with weak stomachs.

Important Note:
While tea offers numerous health benefits, it should not replace medications for treating diseases. It is also important to consume it in moderation, as drinking too much strong tea can cause side effects like insomnia or gastrointestinal discomfort. Pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and individuals with insomnia should consult a doctor and drink the tea cautiously based on their specific conditions.

60ml gaiwan, with 5g and flash steeps. Overall, I thought aroma and flavor were boring. Basement, bourbon cement, old corn, lots of dust. There's some talc in the finish and accompanying mouthfeel slickness, which is nice. Way back there's some bitterness lingering. And overall, it's pleasantly and generally calming, but it's not quite what I would hope for a of tea this aged and of this cost.

Most of the experience of this tea comes across as not being a good value. The aroma and flavor are incredibly flat and dry, mostly tasting of old paper, basement cement, and dust. There's a tiny bit of talc and the accompanying slickness on the lips, but not much. The front steeps were unexpectedly raw and bitter for a tea of this age, certainly preserved by the dry aging. Overall, it has a sensation of just being desiccated and dead. The redeeming quality is the qi, which is pleasantly, mildly drunkening, nothing overly intense, but it's also pretty noticeable. If it wasn't for this quality, I would have given this tea 2 stars.

I just tried again one of my beengs that i opened a year ago to try. It was still a little green and bitter, I was so excited to see the change in color and then to taste, ITS BETTER THAN THE 88 GREEN MARK BY FAR AT 24 YEARS OLD, I CAN IMAGINE WHAT IT WILL BE LIKE AT 30. So sweet and smooth and Plummy leaving an amazing flavor on the palate. I predict a steep rise in price on this tea, and because of the quality, i think prices may go higher than the 88'.

This is definitely my favorite Aged Ripe Pu-erh so far. Very well aged, deep and rich flavor with no unpleasant aftertaste, enticing aroma, and a feeling of well-being after drinking it. I highly recommend this tea.

I would recommend this one as a sample for someone interested in what a smooth aged ripe puer can be. It is so smooth and elegant, i think if you don't like this, you probably won't like other ripes at all....
