10 Years Aged "Jin Gua Tuo" or "Golden Melon" Ripe Pu-erh Tea

These Jin Gua Tuo teas are fully matured aged Pu-erh, pressed 10 years ago (in 2015) by a tea factory in Yunnan. They have been stored in relatively dry conditions for the past decade. 

Jin Gua Tuo Pu-erh tea is a type of compressed tea shaped like a golden pumpkin, which is how it got its name. It can be made from either raw (sheng) or ripe (shou) tea leaves. With its attractive shape and auspicious symbolism, it is not only visually appealing but also convenient for storage and aging, making it a unique and distinctive representative of Pu-erh tea.

The dryish aging conditions have preserved the character of this tea, while allowing it to mellow and gain complexity.  The tea is sweet, creamy and very thick and expansive in the mouth.  It's a very active and textured ripe tea that has all attributes a good aged ripe pu-erh should have.

Effects and functions of drinking Pu-erh tea

1. Aid digestion and relieve greasiness
