It is so good. Light and refreshing. |

Bright and light with floral notes, fresh aroma reminiscent of the sun breaking through the morning dew. Second steep yielded medium tannins with a lingering body of astringency on the tip and middle of the tongue. Wakes the digestion up, emollient to the esophagus and stomach. Third steep the downey pekoe flavor of the leaves begins to emerge. |

Sweet, not a trace of bitterness, light and amazingly smooth. It has the flavour of fresh Spring flowers, which lingers on and on...and then comes back to delight long after one finished drinking. |

First tea tasting of the 2019 spring picking. The tea is a light golden color when brewed at 185, the taste is sweetness, grass, green vegetables, hay, nutty, and a slight taste of herbs. There is a bit more of the roasted nuttiness on the tea than the 2018, but the sweetness is amazing this year, highly recommended. |

This tea is frustrating for me. Overall, the quality of the leaf is very nice and, when brewed right, has a good fresh balanced flavor. The trouble for me is the brewing. I've tried to brew this about 4 different ways with different vessels and water temps. Perhaps it's just be too subtle for my taste and I'm trying too hard to coax out flavor. Personally, this green tea is a little too fussy because I'm not the most attentive brewer. I did have some interesting results with boiled water grandpa style: The tea became like a less funky/rich sheng puer. If you're a fan of sheng, try this grandpa style with hotter water. I do find this tea to be very energetic. That being said, I think this tea wonderfully exhibits the terrior of Yunnan even if it is not my preferred green tea! Recommended with some reservations, if you prefer richer teas. |
