Very unique tea - smells and flavors I haven't really noticed in tea before. It reminds me of beer. Malty and sweet; sweet potato is actually a very accurate tasting note from YS. Not floral, but almost hoppy greenness. I want to say I get a hint of seaweed in the finish as well. The minerality provides a subtle and enjoyable soil flavor. If I didn't know better, I would guess this is a black tea. Almost no bitterness to speak of. Difficult to over brew, however, flavor falls off after 4 or 5 steeps in a gaiwan. I have more of this one is on the way!

I made this tea with a gaiwan and sniffing cups, the tea is highly aromatic, and sweet, the later infusions bring out the minerality, it has a good yan yun going on, the aftertaste fills the mouth, it last 6 to 7 infusions, one of my favourite teas to drink in the afternoon, not overwhelming, a realaxing tea.

I love to drink this tea every morning. The smell really hits the senses. I pick up hints of caramel, sweet potato and a maltiness to it. One of my favorites.
