Full-bodied with pronounced notes of chocolate, honey & malt, this teas does not disappoint. Highly recommend!

This was my first purchase from Yunnan Sourcing. I have paid more for less quality Jin Jun Mei elsewhere, and I was pleasantly surprised this time. I brewed it in both Gong-Fu style and Western style for comparison. I was impressed that it was still producing aromatic soup in Western style after 5th brew (90°C ~3min then +1min for each brew). In Gaiwan, it initially gave off flower nectar, malt, and dark chocolate shaving, then gradually unfurling floral characteristic overtone, roasted chestnut, and dried apricot towards the end. The nectar/honey undertone and subtle umami was present for the whole process giving way to lovely sweetness. The sweet aroma of nectar was so haunting it gave me intermittent olfactory flashback until the next day. I am very happy with the purchase!

This tea has a lot of what I like about JJM. But it lacks some flavour complexity.

Very nice tea! I prefer this to the 2018 by just a smidge. Honey and malt! Manages to be interesting and complex whilst completely lacking in harshness or weird tastes.
