I've bought around a dozen black teas from YS over the years including a few other competition grades, and this is by far my favorite. It has the sweet smoothness of a feng qing, but with more complexity - honey, malted barley, stone fruit, and slight tannic notes. It is full-bodied and velvety. A special tea. I brewed it in a 100 ml gaiwan with 95C water for under a minute for the first 4 steepings, and that was great. |

I have been drinking Yunnan black tea for some time and came across this one a few years ago. Since then I have been trying to find a good Jin Jun Mei. This one is the best one that I have tried so far. Strong honey and chocolate aroma with clean and pleasant sweet after taste. I think a gaiwan is a best brewing tool for this tea as the leaves are very small and you can adjust the opening of gaiwan to capture most of the leaves. |

after the first trying, I felt the taste of coffee, after the second trying I liked it more and more for its bright orange taste :) |
