Probably not my type of tea. Has some smoked flavor which I do not like. Just my taste. |

Velvety and roasty. Great tea for this price range! |

On dry leaves, you can feel the typical notes of baked nuts and chocolate. But the taste of tea is not complicated and dry. Therefore, as explained, many injections do not have much meaning. |

I wrote a review of the DHP, and this one suffers a similar fate from being over-roasted in my opinion. Going to let it rest to take off the edge as I can taste a very appealing green vegetal note under the charcoal. |

While the Rou Gui has a divine smell, filling the room with the smell of the roast and of dark chocolate, the same cannot be said about the taste. Going through a full gong fu brewing, I didn't find any taste behind the roast; the chocolate in the smell was gone, and there certainly were not any fruits, which can usually be found in yancha. It's not bad at all, but I'd rather reach for my Da Hong Pao. |
