I’m surprised for all the maximum scores for this one. I liked much the Ban Zhang ripe of this brand so wanted to try more. Yes, this is cheaper, but also compared to many YS branded similarly priced ripes this is much less enjoyable for me. To me the taste is not balanced or pleasant, there is something that I would maybe call dirtiness, unpleasant bitterness which has a chemical feeling, also numbing of the tip of the tongue. In general the mouth feeling for me is not not smooth but unstable or dirty and taste lacks depth.

I received this cake free as a gift and finally decided to break into it. Couldn't be more happy and am thinking of ordering another to keep as it is enjoyable to drink.......Am on my 4th cup this morning. Goes very well with the slightest dash of milk though is also good without. There is almost zero damp or pile taste and is a good way to start a pu er journey as it is not to overpowering. Good value.
