I have been a tea enthusiast for years but only recently discovered this delicious caffeine free herb. I often drink it at night when I’m craving a cup of tea but don’t need any more caffeine. It has a complex flavor profile that’s totally satisfying. And I love that it’s from the Kunlun Mtns. where there is such an illustrious history. |

Sweet smelling and gives the tea a nice red color. |

I think the tea was good quality tea, and I am going to reorder now. |

These buds are strongly flavoured, spicy with a hint of ginger. Diluting the soup and resteeping several times, adding a little milk to make a wonderful relaxing brew. |

These floral buds have what I can only describe as a "zippy" flavor. The brew exists in a space between minty and spiced, and it always invokes a feeling of an autumn wind for me. I love it most when adding a few buds to another tea: just a few buds in a bright green tea for a very fresh tasting blend, or a few more when adding to a dark black tea to bring a forward flavor to an otherwise mellow brew. On their own, I find these flowers lack depth of flavor. However, I have had success in blending these with other floral ingredients to make well-rounded caffeine free tisanes that go well with evening desserts. |
