Almost tastes like the tea’s at boba shops. Its such a nice rich and creamy-like flavor. Very soothing and delicious. |

This is an amazing tea. It is astoundingly floral and complex with a lovely mouthfeel. The smell of the wet leaves and liquor is a floral explosion. The taste of the liquor is also extremely floral (perhaps honeysuckle and lily), with buttery, almost coconut notes, and a hint of vegetal mintiness with a slight menthol cooling sensation. The only thing I don't like so much about this tea is the price! But c'est la vie, you get what you pay for and all that. If you compare it to Taiwanese high mountain oolongs of similar quality it is actually pretty good value (or at least, that's what I tell myself!). I find it is best to brew it at 95C (I have also tried boiling but I find that diminishes some of the floral notes), 5g per 100ml, starting at 25s and then adding 5s to subsequent steeps. |

The aroma is a little strong. I prefer Taiwanese high mountain oolong. |

This is a gorgeous tea that checks a lot of boxes for me. It has some beautiful high notes reminiscent of a high mountain oolong, but it also has good body for balance. It has a ‘juicy’ characteristic that I think adds to the pleasure and enjoyment of this tea. I do drink it Gong Fu style, but in the evening when I want a mug of tea with a cookie and a movie, this is what I reach for. In my opinion, this is a tea that after you have a mug and the question of “Do you want another cup?” crosses your mind, invariably the answer is “Oh, Yes Please!” |
