has what i like in a green tea; just a bit astringent and buttery flavor that compliments the vegetal base flavor of the leaves. similar to japanese sencha, which might be overbearing for some who are new to green tea but definitely worthwhile if you like teas with a kick. |

I like this one a lot. Brews four to six times in a gaiwan before dropping off. Flavor is a lot of stewed vegetables, squash, and stock, not super grassy nor fruity, good savory quality. Doesn’t get bitter but has enough structure to be refreshing, complex. One of my favorites. Also works well in a grandpa style brew. |

First time order at Yunnan Sourcing, and I was very impressed with both the speed of delivery and the quality of the tea. |

I initially purchased 8 ounces in my first order but enjoyed it so much that I purchased another 16 ounces! I generally prefer Japanese green tea but will admit that there is a bit more variety in Chinese greens and this one is simply delicious. |

Once again, the great pleasure I get from drinking Yunnan Sourcing tea behooves me to post another review. This one is an absolute must-have green tea for the summer season, as essential as LongJing or TaiPing HouKui. It produces a highly pleasant brew that can be likened unto a medley of steamed green veggies (mainly celery) with similarities to Japanese green teas - umami, vegetal, a trace of salt. Vegetables might not sound appetizing for some, but allow this tea to show you how delicious a vegetal profile can be. A slight cool/mint aroma from the wet leaf may contribute to its refreshing quality. Not at all bitter even to the last steep. I know I'll be craving this Lu Shan Yun Wu on a weekly basis for the next couple of months. |
