Brewed this up again this morning. After decanting a fairly strong first steep and slurping the first cupful, I said to myself, 'Cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee!' And there you have it. This is an unbelievably delicious tea that delivers those flavour notes without any subtlety. It's black and clean, with curly little leaves. Not your typical malty, dark-fruity, bitter hong cha. It's sweet, smooth and sugary. Almost oolong-y. And at this price, an absolute steal! |

Categorically a fantastic tea with wonderful cocoa, chocolate, and malt notes that are balanced with body and aroma. |

Clean and clear, very bright and aromatic, with dominant notes of fried seeds (or nuts as some would say). Can't feel the promised chocolate but it does not make my experience worse. Long refreshing aftertaste. Not an everyday drinker but very satisfying, very good for the price. |

This is a very interesting tea possessing very strong hazelnut aroma and flavour, just like the Frangelico liqueur - but no alcohol. It's not an everyday tea for me but every once and a while - wow, and great as a novelty for guests. I'm going to try and flavour gin with it! |

This is my first Laoshan tea. It brews to a much lighter color than other black teas. When poured and when tasted it is a bit more viscous than other black teas. It is delicious! I brew it alone, and also blended with other teas. It is a keeper! |
