I had not drunk full-leaf black tea before; this was a first try. I grabbed some greens and a couple blacks, and this Laoshan has been my favorite among them. |

My uncle, who lived in Shandong, used to wax poetic about the tea. Now I know why! The aroma of the dry leaf in the steam of the pre-warmed pot is of brownies. I find the steeped aroma to be a cross between coffee and tea. The initial taste is of coffee, with hints of malted caramel, followed by returning bitterness (with high leaf to water ratios), then mild hui gan, and cooling, leaving my tongue feeling coated. Dark chocolate creeps in on later steeps, and each pot lasts multiple steeps. It is very refreshing and satisfying, and has become one of my favourite teas. |

I always keep this kind of tea in my tea pool, just for those moments when you want something light and sweet. The taste indeed reminds of smoked sweet dark oolongs. It is full and distinct, with all that caramel or chocolate or whatever you name it. |

Лёгкий на вкус. Приятный. Неожиданно, потому что никогда не слышал о такой чае. Честно говоря и о Лаошане никогда не слышал. Рекомендую, особенно любителям не крепкого чая или любителям открывать что-то новое. |
