I live at 45º N latitude, and a pot of this robust classic after practicing t'ai chi outdoors braces me for whatever our icy winters can throw at me. When in doubt, reach for the Laoshan. |

This tea is great for the price and you can easily tell that it has been carefully processed. It has a superb golden yellow liquor color, which is unusual for black tea ( at least for Yunnan Dian Hong), and the strong chocolate aroma anticipates what the tea will taste like. While not complex, it's a quite interesting tea with obvious chocolate flavor and a bit of sweetness, I'd say it can be considered hot chocolate without chocolate in it. Easy to drink yet not boring and of high quality. It's my favorite black tea from YS for now and I prefer it over Simao black teas from the sample pack. |

Didn't comment yet but I'm agree with others. Strong chocolate, smooth tea. I'm drinking it time to time along these last months. Definitely one of my favorite red from the dozen I've ordered. I prefer the classic to the imperial, I find it thicker and warmer. They also do a great first flush green tea. This small family business seems to deliver well, it makes me curious to try the rest of their offers |

I bought this one on a whim along with the classic green. I was surprised how much I’d enjoy this one. The aroma from the leaves is of chocolate, and the taste implies that too. This is one of by again for sure. |

Nice malty , almost like a typical bolba tea flavor. rich and deep. caffeien content is caffeinated, but not as strong as some of the other blacks you'll find on this site. A nice alternative to my desi/indian chai. not nearly as astringent. works great with milk |
