I'm really new to this. It's my first review actually. I'm writing it after tasting nothing but 2-3 ripe puerhs, one raw, one hei cha, one purple. I find myself being cheap about brewing this Laoshan black in fear of finishing my 50g :) It's so aromatic, so unique, leaves such a nice aftertaste long after your sipping is done. That chocolate-like aroma, both in the nose and in taste is so out of this world. There is sort of a raw elegance to this tea. Really enjoying it. |

I liked it enough to order more. I feel like the flavor is similar to the Laoshan Jujube, but I'm not sure if that makes sense. Not a strong black, but I liked it with milk. |

A great tea, and not expensive either. Very easy to drink, nice cocoa/chocolate taste. 2021 I liked the imperial grade version a bit better (slightly more refined, some mineral notes), but 2022 I'm not getting much of a difference between them. |

I have been drinking this one for years and really enjoyed it until about 2 years ago. It used to have a more astringent, or what I described as charcoal, flavor. It now seems much more mellow without that "bite" that made it so good. Maybe my taste buds changed. I'll try again next year. |
