Great size, easy to use. Pours well.

I bought a few of these for side by side tea tasting. My measurements indicate that it holds 100ml to the brim, and 78ml under the lid. This is an ideal size for solo sessions or for testing a batch of tea – precisely what I wanted. Usually I use something close to 5 grams of leaf, and it brews fine. It works well and I don’t burn my fingers. At this price, it represents great value. If you’re looking for a small gaiwan at a great price, this one is impossible to beat.

Very nice little gaiwan! Feels pretty sturdy, not super thin so retains heat reasonably well. It's about 75ml of properly usable volume imo, beyond that I get a bit weary of burning my fingers, but if you've got heat resistant hands you can get a bit more in there. Perfect size for personal use, either loading up with a lot of leaves and getting many steeps, or using fewer and getting a nice shorter session (not always in the mood for an enormous quantity of tea). I really like the design of the lid, having a big dimple like that. If you like to brew with your finger across it it stays very cool, and if you brew with your finger in it it feels nice and secure. Also love the little unobtrusive YS logo on the bottom, very cute!

This gaiwan is just amazingly crafted and it shows. Extremely comfortable in the hand and brews just the right amount of tea for two. Absolutely loving this buy.
