Just what I wanted - a small gaiwan with thin-to-medium walls that can hold 5-ish grams of leaf. The flaring on the edges is perfect, so it pours very well, and the knob on the lid has a deep and perfectly shaped indent, which makes it very comfortable to rest my index finger as I pour. The saucer is perfectly flat and smooth on the bottom, so it sits nice and flat. The indent of the saucer is perfectly sized to the foot of the gaiwan. There's no sliding around, it's fits very tight. For less than $10 I don't think anybody could find a better gaiwan. Other vendors would probably sell something of this quality for $20-30 - it's inexpensive, but does not feel cheap. The only thing I'll say (because I have a keyboard and therefore an opinion) is that I think the saucer should have a slight notch cut into it, to help prevent the gaiwan from creating suction on the saucer and inadvertently causing it to be lifted up when you lift the gaiwan to pour your magical soup out. It's not an issue for me, but it could be for other folks.

Great size for solo drinking. It's good for practicing if you've never used a gaiwan before.
