I bought 100g of this tea in 2019 and while I thought it was definitely drinkable, it really didn't stand out to me in comparison to so many of the amazing other black teas I got from YS last year. It just didn't "pop". Just a standard typical nondescript standard "black tea" taste. I definitely drank it, but didn't think much of it. This year though... I got 50g only and I'm going to order more very soon before it's gone. It's got that spark that I really can't put into words, but damn is it good. I think a lot of it has to do with a really pleasant (and so satisfying) mineral twist at the end of every sip, which makes it amazing to drink on its own, or with my peanut butter toast for breakfast. This tea doesn't quit either. I tend to brew it in a 120 ml teapot with about 8 grams of tea and 200F water, and even just brewing it for only 5 seconds still yields a great tasting cup after the 12th time, which surprised me for a black tea. Would highly recommend, especially at the price... |

Good tea. Wet leaves smell malty with fruity sourness + sweetness, and a distant menthol freshness. Tastewise this red tea also leans more towards the fruitier side, but in general the flavours of malt and fruits are well-balanced. The brew is clear, clean and with no bitterness. |

I love the malty earthy flavors in this tea. It is our go to favorite and the tea I compare everything else to. |

Thick and malty, just how it should be. |

I've always loved this tea for my morning tea and Yunnan Sourcing's is top notch. |
