This tea has a lot going on in terms of its flavor profile, which is probably why 100% of the reviews so far have been 5-stars... this definitely is a 5-star tea. Despite its complexity, this tea retains some elegant simplicity in that the two main sensations across the palate are "umami" and "mineral" - it's just that, between the two, a seemingly endless amount of flavor can come out... you'll find everything in this tea; some sweet, astringent, fruity, herbaceous, crisp, soft, notes that are fleeting, textures that have staying power, and whatever else you can think of in a tea. It's all about the juxtaposition of the notes; the umami is strong with this one, and it WILL coat your mouth and seeps its way out of your nostrils with every exhale, while the high mineral content of the buds gives rise to such gorgeous aromatics that are described by all the other reviewers. There's just so many layers of flavor happening that it's possible to have so many different reviews and all of them are on point about what this tea is like.

Wonderful Quality, delicately smell and taste

I'm not usually a green drinker but I bought a few different ones to get into the spring and summer feel. This is a delicious green tea that showcases a deep umami almost seaweed flavor that is accompanied by an unctuous broth that has nice mineral aspects to it. The first strong steep I brewed had a seriously sugary and almost nutty scent to it that was made it difficult to want to stop smelling. Yummy yummy stuff, want to get my hands on more.

This is amazing. From the first to the last drop this tea delivers. Your getting spinage, hay, umami, stone fruit ending. This is truly a feast for the senses.

2020 spring: This is a very strong green and can be a bit overwhelming if you're used to softer greens. Let this be exactly the fact why I love this tea. It has a very rich spinach, umami taste and at the very end I get a soft tropical fruit taste. I could drink this one all day long. I would recommend this tea to everybody how like's strong tasting teas.
