I liked the taste. It has everything you need from mature pu'er. I think there is a slight mushroom flavor. It's very nice. You can close your eyes and immerse yourself in the feeling of the forest. I recommend it! |

I purchased this out of curiosity. I am a long-time puerh drinker but oftentimes find myself in business situations where I can't brew a cuppa and have consumed the thermos I brought with me. So would this offer me a solution? To my delight, it did. The tea is passable and will definitely satisfy my longing for a cup of shu. Now, don't expect the same quality you'd get from steeped leaves-you'll be disappointed. But for travel purposes and on the fly, this will suffice nicely. And kudos to whomever brought back cha gao. Ni zhen niu! |

This is Pu-erh on the go. Smells like Pu-erh tastes like Pu-erh. This is great to drink if you are in a pinch and can't be bothered with leaves. The taste is passable, not as great as what you would get out of a leaf but better than you would expect from instant. |

I wasn't sure what to expect when I prepared the first batch of tea, but trustingly put one brick and water, just off the boil, into my 400ml thermos flask. After a few shakes and a 5 minute wait, I was rewarded with a lovely ripe. The colour is a super clear, dark red or burgundy and the taste is lovely and smooth, too. There is no fermentation smell whatsoever and the taste is generally balanced, but tending more towards the sweet side. Highly recommended for anybody, but especially for very busy as well as for very lazy people alike …. |
