Great tea. Mild and easy to brew. |

Second or third time ordering this Ben Shan Oolong now and this has been consistently like a nice (similar to tie guan yin) flavor for me. |

This is very good Ben Shan, it's easy to brew and even easier to enjoy. I use a 12oz Tokoname kyusu and it always brews a fantastic pot of tea across a wide temperature and time range, anywhere from 180 to 212*F and 4 to 7 minutes. The overtly floral qualities of this tea and the potent mouthfeel make it an excellent oolong to pair with pretty much any dish. |

I've been trying tons of Tie Guan Yin trying to find something similar to one I had a long time ago, to no avail. While there wasn't anything wrong with the ones I tried, all of them tasted pretty well roasted which isn't my thing. After feeling defeated and giving up trying to find it, I stumbled upon this Ben Shan and figured I should give it a try. I am so glad I did! It is completely perfect. No roasting flavor at all, just the sweetness and floralness I was looking for. Maybe this isn't the most complex tea, but I generally drink oolong when I just want a solid tea to drink and not over-analyze. It does have a really nice menthol cooling thing after drinking it, which is something I've only experienced from young sheng puers. I'll definitely be ordering more soon. |
