I ordered the whole section a while back and really liked it, so I assumed it would be the same for the individual packets, but they had a strange vanilla taste that I really didn't care for. Once/ if you get past that, it really is a nice oolong. I will reorder but as a whole piece. |

This tea has a lovely aroma. It is not bitter at all despite the name. In fact, it’s a little on the sweet side. This was our favorite tea out of all that I ordered. |

I bought this tea on a whim because I was curious. I was a bit worried that I might not like it and that I bought too much (50g). Now I have to go order more. The wet tea leaves & subsequent broth smell of chocolate, vanilla, malt. It’s an amazing tea to drink — robust, complex flavors of roasted coffee beans, vanilla, chocolate, and malt that is very balanced. It borders on the slightest hint of bitterness but doesn’t cross it. This is a deep rich tea with a savory umami and a slight viscosity with the tiniest tingle of cha Qi on the tongue. I don’t like coffee but this is what I imagine coffee should taste like based off coffee’s aroma... (only this is better!!)? Brewed: one packet (8g) without the rind. 100ml. Water: 195 F Time: 45s/45/45/1 minute/1min-10sec/1-20/1-30/1-45/2 min/2-30/3 --- this tea went a LONG time before it even considered washing out. Since this seems to be a fully roasted Tiguanyin, I’m also going to try it at a higher water temp. (Anyone else interested in my reviews, I also post them on Steepster: https://steepster.com/Jadecat9 |

Thanks to melon a lot of essential oils. they give fruitiness, smoothness. bitterness is not. taste is bright. I think it is not bitter. This is a good tasty thing, but do not drink 1 time a lot. |
