Pretty solid oolong that has a more 'green' taste to it. I'm surprised this is one of the top-selling teas. It's good, but definitely not my favorite. Still worth a try!

OK, I've never had an oolong that threatened my Daily Drinker list but this one does. I have bought a number of Oolongs over the years, though the type has never been at top of my list as I prefer "the devil I know" in Reds/Blacks and have many. I had this tea 'marked' after reading reviews for quite awhile and finally bought some recently. Full confession is I mistrust and 'judge' almost anything with a Green tint just because of my digestive and other bodily issues with Greens of various types over the years, and a few Whites. This "Hairy Crab" has won my palate, tummy, heart, everything. I didn't do a good job steeping it at first but I think I have it down now. As others have said, this is soooo friendly in every way: never gets ruffled, wonderfully aromatic, goes from pale greenish to light amber over the course of 5 or so steeps, temperature depending. One really crazy aspect is that I can make a really strong cup, that has a little 'hair' on the taste when fresh-poured, and after a while set the cup down and forget it, come back in the afternoon, and the thing has gotten sweeter and more fragrant after just sitting at room temperature. Like 2 different steeps. As to how it strikes my digestive tract, this is as close as I have come to a Tea that seems downright Therapeutic in that regard. Absolutely great. Also this is a very generous tea: the tea right out of the bag is tightly rolled, and opens gradually: just enough to cover the bottom of a big mug blossoms into a basket of larger green leaves, gently prepped not abused. It hits peak flavor-power in the 2nd & 3rd steeps, then gradually stepping back for the rest of the trip. Just buy it.
