Got this along with my oolong tea as a complimentary sampler. I'm not a huge drinker of green tea these days - much preferring the mineral/wood/nut flavours of a good oolong. However, this green tea is pleasant without being too vegetal. I think it would be a good introduction to green tea for for those who are beginning their tea journeys (especially if all they have drunk is English Breakfast Teas!) as the more pronounced green vegetal flavours of say a good Longjing is in some ways an acquired taste. TLDR: A simple clean green tea without heavy vegetal notes. Good for anyone who hasn't drunk a lot of green tea but the more discerning green tea drinkers will want to pass on this.

Although there is a touch of the fresh hay I've experienced with good green tea before, this seems like a more balanced and perhaps accessible tea to me. I like to experience fresh green tea but I'm not a huge green tea drinker. Nevertheless, I could drink more of this than I might normally drink of green tea. There is a creaminess and some thick mouthfeel as well as palate penetration that I associate more with sheng generating considerable appeal. I'm very happy to have received an unexpected sample and would definitely recommend this tea, especially to sheng focused drinkers. It is very difficult to find a tea this appealing at the price.

I compare this tea to Cui Ming tea of a harvest 2017. These are two different teas. Cui Ming 2017 tea was fine, and this tea of delight doesn't cause. Before me there was a question: whether to order this tea in 2019?

My lovely green tea!

I bought this to make cold brew, and it's good for that though I probably wouldn't write a review about it. Today I've been drinking some in the common Chinese style, just throwing leaf in a mug and drowning it with 90° C water to drink off the leaves. And it works surprisingly (to me at least) well for that. It doesn't have great longevity, but it also doesn't get any bad bitterness or astringency with long soaks.
