A delicate tea with a rich flavor. I like to drink it in the morning. This tea doesn't impose or argue anything. It complements its surroundings. |

Another winner from Yunnan Sourcing. I am drinking the Spring 2023 version of this tea, and find it to be quite nice. Dry leaves are beautifully formed and very much as pictured. I think the ideal brewing temp might be around 185°, but works very well with the insta-hot water dispenser at my office, which I suppose is around 195°. I notice honeydew melon, (lilac?) florals, and a touch of creamy lemon curd in the flavor. I brew western style, first steep 2 min, second steep 3 min, and third steep 4-5 minutes seems to work well with this tea. I notice the flavors seem to pop more on the second steep, so might try adjusting my first steep to get similar results. Awesome tea! I get a pleasant grassiness at 195°, but not grassy at all steeped at lower temps. |

Amazing! Similar to japanese green tea. Subtle taste. |

A very high quality example of the variety. Buttery, vegetal, with mineral and floral aspects and a characteristic natural sweetness. A more bold green tea if that’s your thing. As a pan fried green, marries the best qualities of Chinese and Japanese green teas. Has some echoes of high quality matcha and reminds me a little of kamairicha or kabusecha. I personally brew it in large batches for iced tea a bit over temp at ~190 degrees F, which maximizes umami/amino character and introduces some light astringent tones I happen to like. Ymmv. Incredible tea and highly recommended. |

This is one of my favorite go-to green teas. Just delightful. First sip gives away to the full mouthful sensation as you drink it more. Full flavor tea with no grassy undertones, lightly floral, no bitterness if steeped correctly. I agree with one of the other reviewers, takes well to a short steep but also nice for a long one if you like it stronger. Doesn't particularly re-steep too well. Excellent with neutral flavored honey. |
