I love rock wulongs, and usually I go with with "Iron Monk", but I wanted to try this one. I was not disappointed! The same flavor profile, but perhaps stronger notes of caramel.

I tried a sample of this a while ago and it is now my go-to roasted oolong - it's one of the very best I have tried and I now regularly get 250g bags. It also brews well both gong fu and western style. Plus, it's unfuzzy, so brew times don't necessarily have to be exactly measured, though it's also rewarding to experiment with more precise parameters.

Not very smoky, but it’s a warm, golden standard of what oolong should feel like. Overall, nutty smell with medium infusions of dry leaves. Order arrived pretty fast considering that it’s international.

Hints of caramel and charcoal. Very well balanced. Retains its essence after 5 to 6 steepings.
