I love all of them but this tea is my favorite by far.

Delicious creamy cup of tea!

I think I've had 50g of every dianhong on this site at one point in time or another, and this one's remained my favorite since trying it. Most have an acidity or bitterness that permeates through the tea, reminiscent of a coffee's acidity - this one does not. It really allows the flavors to shine through. Most feature a malty profile with a hint of maple bark and a hint of chocolate, but the lack of acidity and bitterness in this tea REALLY allows the chocolate to shine through, and it gives it a very welcoming sweet body with an aftertaste of cream. It's definitely nothing I have ever expected in a black tea, but it's welcome any time! It will develop a small hint of astringency over the steeps, as well as a note of peppercorn that will linger on the tip of your tongue. I use this tea both for ceremonial and daily drinking use, and I couldn't be more pleased with it.

Nice and malty in both aroma and flavor. Not super bold but plenty of flavor to satisfy. The aroma is really, really pleasant. And the taste has lots of malt, some chocolate, and some sweet potato. And of course, the dry leaves are absolutely beautiful.

Wow. I've never had a tea that reminded me so much of a high quality dark chocolate. It's creamy, malty, full bodied with intense but not overpowering dark chocolate notes. I love me some pure bud black teas, but this could possibly be my new favorite!
