Nice full flavor but not bitter even if steeped hot or too long. Has taken over for a 2017 tea no longer in stock.

I don't drink that many black teas, this one was very smooth, good with or without milk.

This was in my November Dark Tea Box. Brew gaiwan sytle. Very smooth and comforting, with notes of chocolate. Just the way I like my black tea.

This is now a favorite for me. I thank Scott for all of the wonderful suggestions! This tea is like the Feng Quing "Xiang Gui" but better. My review of that in my tea journal was straw/root, mellow flavor, weak licorice root, creamy, good gold brewed. I'd say this tea has more body AND balance. It is less astringent with a smooth finish. Time to order more!

Only the people of Yunnan can be so crazy to process these nice buds into black tea. And I'm very grateful for them to do so. With gongfu brewing the liquor has a deep golden colour. No sign of any bitterness, even the first sips have this kind of mild chocolate flavour with malty notes that are black teas' own signature. Not to mention its 'appearance' which is even better than the in the pictures above. However I haven't tasted so much Chinese black teas (especially Bi Luo Chun), but this one is the best black tea I've tasted so far.
