Fantastic, complex and balanced tea, creamy, milky, buttery, not too floral, excellent quality, will definitely order next year |

I've been using only Tie Guan Yin as the only tea for many years. I bought it from one reputable vendor in another country, and I stocked on Autumn tea with them during my travels. I tested many different varieties of Tie Guan Yin with them, and the best I liked was the variant with leaves carrying stems (they called it "nun-san"). Imperial "AAA" Tie Guan Yin of Anxi Oolong Tea of Fujian had a rather bright fragrance that significantly faded on the second infusion, however, the taste was not as deep as I got used to. I did not notice much sweetness or buttery flavor though some astringency was present in the aftertaste. The physiological effect was also different, I felt it rather refreshing than relaxing as a regular strong tea. |

My best guess is I received a bad batch, because what I got tastes and smells like boiled green pepper, no floral notes whatsoever. |
