Immaculately shipped as the leaves are very delicate and beautiful to look at. Opening the bag, get an instant hit of a sweet, fresh aroma like the sun just came out after it rained. Freshness follows into the glass with a light, pale chartreuse color. Nice fresh bamboo, cut grass, floral notes of orchards and rose, further infusions almost remind you of walking through a botanical garden with fleeting tastes of florals. Keeps the lightness in the cup infusion after infusion. Brewed grandpa style in a 400 ml glass tube and still wonderful after six infusions. Could keep drinking this all day. |

It’s been quite a few years since I’d had a Tai Ping Hou Kui and thought I’d revisit the tea from this year’s crop. Boy am I glad I did! It’s lovely- no other way about it. Hou Kui’s don't generally broadcast strong flavors. But there is a richness and subtlety to them that brighten the mind and the palette. Like a warm/cool breeze on a dewy Spring Day. It’s best to lean on lighter temperatures (80-85c) but this tea is pretty forgiving. Now is the time! Enjoy it Fresh . As others said on here. Grandpa style is the way |
