One of my first teas I tried. It's also one of my favorites. It's a sensory delight to remove the paper seal and cracking the tangerine open. I enjoy the taste of the dried fruit along with the tea leaves. The best part of my morning is making and drinking this tea.

This was my first step into ripe puerh. While it wasn’t for me, it was still a tasty drink. My friend tried it and loved it and took the extra oranges I had with them and messaged me later that week saying he had already went through the others and would more than likely order more in the future!

I have many types of pu-erh. Some multiple decades old. Some "raw", some "ripe". Some quite expensive and some like this, quite cheap. Don't let the price fool you. This is absolutely one of my favorite puerh teas - or any tea for that matter - period. One thing that may not be so obvious as a first time buyer is, it's extremely easy to prepare. If you don't mind using your hands, unwrap the tangerine, crush it in your hand and measure out your portion. I'm down to my last ball. A whopping 45 gram tangerine. Enough for two "sessions". Mind you brew it the traditional way but in bigger cups and over a couple days so roughly 20 grams at a per my brewing vessel. It's great. It really is. Honestly, I don't always taste the citrus. When I do, it's definitely not overpowering. It's a note - a pleasant one... something that adds a balance. For a ripe puerh, it doesn't have some of the cheap ripe taste you may associate with them. What I have left is from a purchase about 2 years ago and well, if you store puerh well it'll last longer than you so, it's as good as day one. I love this stuff. It's time for another kilo. Thank you Yunnan Sourcing. I've a stack of your cakes I love including some higher-end and I suggest others don't be afraid to try them but honestly folks, I'll always return to this tea. I love it.
