i received this tea in an oolong tea club box and was very happy with it light oolongs aren’t really my thing but i hadn’t tried Hairy Crab yet so i was excited to see it offered in the sampler. it was a pleasant jade style oolong that reminded me of some ali shang ive had. i brewed it at 185-190 Fahrenheit and got a good number of steeps out of it. it was not too floral or overpowering and had no bitterness. it wasn’t the most dazzling but it is very cheap which would make it a great deal and i am happy to hang onto it to serve other people- it seems like a middle of the road crowd pleaser.

Surprisingly crisp and green for an oolong, with floral notes that are on the lighter side when compared to the more classic Tie Guan Yin. To be honest, this tea is different enough in its overall flavor profile that the comparison is merely a formality. The brew is refreshing and the scent lingers well, inviting one to enjoy a tea session outside on a sunny day. Despite other reviews, all five of the satchels that came with my order have stayed well vacuum sealed which is plus.

good oolong flavor. Lasted through many steeps as well. Had one small difficulty the first time I brewed it; i normally use a scale to weight out my teas. This tea though weighs so little, you can't really use the recommended grams per 100 ml, as that doesn't leave enough room for the tea to expand. Use only 1 to 2 teaspoons per 100ml, regardless of weight

I had really been enjoying this tea! Been losing my mind since I misplaced the bag... need to get some more of this at some point.

I have had this one very regularly, it also makes a very good cold brew.
