I’m really not the biggest fan of ripe tea in general but this one is probably my favourite ripe I’ve tried. But what really carries this tea is the cha Qi. Made me feel really relaxed but alert and just overall feel great. If you like ripe and like getting tea drunk I’d highly recommend. Just use your hands to half then quarter the tuo it won’t budge at first but be patient and it’ll come apart in whole chunks this way. Can’t really describe any flavour notes apart from woody and earthy which is why I’m not the biggest fan of ripe but it’s still a pleasant drink. Hope this helped! |

As a beginner I can't describe this tea accurately, what I can say is that it is creamy, smooth and slightly sweet and leaves a pleasant feel in the mouth as Scott mentioned in the description. I would recommend this tea to a ripe pu-ehr beginner like me but then I'd move on something else. I rate this tea a 75/100. Note: don't use a pick to break a tuo because dust and broken leaves ruin this tea and make it bitter. Just engrave the sides and then you hands. |

Definitely a favorite. I'll be ordering more. A little difficult to break up, but very worth the time and effort. Just be patient and keep poking until it gives way. This tea was thick right from the first brew with good strong flavors. The product description hits the nail on the head with the flavors. Creamy, a little sweet, richly earthy. The scent reminds me of honey and brown sugar, maybe some vanilla. Also of sweet grass. Strong cha qi. I got through six brews before the flavor really tapered off with my first session. |
