Tight compression, as others have said, but manageable regardless. This aged pu erh brews thick, deep and dark even with shorter steeps and takes on a smooth but rich texture that is quite warming and suited for those cold rainy days. This one I'd recommend to lovers of black coffee and dark chocolate who enjoy dense and intense beverages. It lasts me through many infusions too so overall a solid option to re-purchase.

The taste and feeling are great, my only complaint is the compression which is very strong and hard to break apart good sized pieces.

This tea is a bit psychedelic

This is one of the best budget ripes I have found. Smooth earthy flavor without any wet pile flavor and little to no camphoor. Texture is medium thickness. Beware though these are very hard to break apart. Very tight compression. They have a super chilled out cha qi that lasts a long time.
