This high-quality Tie Guan Yin tea is grown in the tea gardens of the Anxi highlands in Fujian, China, at an elevation of 1,000 meters. Due to the cool and misty climate, with short average sunlight exposure, the tea plants produce less catechins and other bitter compounds, while increasing the levels of theanine and soluble nitrogen, which contribute to the tea's sweetness. The tender buds and leaves are thick with a high pectin content. As a result, high-altitude Tie Guan Yin tea has a vibrant green color, a smooth, rich, and mellow flavor, and a delicate aroma. The tea brews to a honey-green liquor with a yellowish tint and is known for its ability to withstand multiple infusions.

This is an entry-level "AA" grade Tie Guan Yin tea. If you want to experience a higher "AAA" grade Tie Guan Yin, please choose a product link marked with the "AAA" label for purchase. If you taste both grades side by side, you will notice the differences between them.

Actual colors of the tea may vary somewhat from pictured. Purchase the smallest amount to try before purchasing larger amounts.

Pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and individuals with insomnia should consult a doctor and drink the tea cautiously based on their specific conditions.
