White tea is a slightly fermented tea, one of the six major categories of Chinese tea, and is considered a special treasure among Chinese teas. It is named for its finished product, which is mostly bud tips, covered in white hairs, resembling silver or snow. Varieties of white tea include Bai Hao Yin Zhen White Tea, Bai Mu Dan White Tea, Gong Mei White Tea, Shou Mei White Tea, and Moonlight White Tea.
